To clean glass diffusers we recommend folks have 2 units at all times.While one is in the tank doing its job, the other will be soaking in hydrogen peroxide. Just leave it in there until the diffuser in the tank gets dirty and swap them out. 
No scrubbing or scraping. Just leave any dirty glassware in the hydrogen peroxide the whole time until its time to swap. I hope this helped!

I was going to mention that CO2 proof tubing should be used, but Hoppy has debunked this a bit.
