CAL AQUA Fluxus System - 13 mm / 20+ gal
The CAL AQUA LAB Fluxus System - 13 mm consists of an Influx pipe, transporting water from the aquarium to an external filter, and an Efflux pipe, returning clean water from the filter to the aquarium.
Designed for aquariums 20 gallons (75 L) and larger which use a canister filter with 1/2" diameter tubing.
The Fluxus System is hand-blown using only the highest quality, laboratory-grade, borosilicate glass for maximum strength, durability, and visual clarity. Each piece is unique.
Influx / Inflow Pipe -

The Influx pipe carries water from the aquarium down to the canister filter. The innovative design of the Influx places intake slits across wide distances on the stem. As a result, water is pulled from multiple depths, spanning a wide range within the water column. This improves water circulation and allows particles suspended higher in the water column to be readily filtered.
Efflux / Outflow Pipe-

The Efflux pipe is designed with a unique downward-angled funnel to provide increased water movement throughout the aquarium. This reduces stagnation points and improves gas and nutrient exchange for low and midground plants. The Efflux funnel can be raised slightly above the waterline to create gentle surface movement and eliminate surface film without aerating the water, thus reducing CO2 loss. Alternatively, the Efflux funnel can be raised slightly higher above the waterline to create surface aeration.
