The Green Leaf Drop Checker allows you to accurately and continuously measure CO₂ levels in your planted aquarium.

Included with the drop checker is a bottle of KH Standard / 4 dKH (lab certified analytical standard 4 dKH) and a bottle of CO₂ Test Reagent (Bromothymol Blue). When combined, the 4 dKH and Bromothymol Blue create a vital indicator solution. When the drop checker is placed upright in the aquarium, the color of the indicator solution will turn green when the optimal concentration of 30 ppm of CO₂ is achieved in the aquarium water. A yellow or blue color compared against a pH indicator color chart indicates too much or too little CO₂ in the water, respectively.

BLUE -> Low CO₂ levels -> Increase rate of CO₂
GREEN -> Proper CO₂ levels -> No action required
YELLOW -> High CO₂ levels -> Decrease rate of CO₂
